Let’s be honest with ourselves, no one really sticks to New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I straight up had a hater from TikTok land on one of my videos and reported it due do the hard truth I said about it.
So here’s how I’m going to introduce this article, it’s the new year, new you, new purpose, new goals, right? XD
Here’s what I have to say to all of this motivation bullshit, fuck New Year’s Resolutions. Seriously, that’s what I have to say. Why am I starting out with being harsh?
I mean come on, you’ve come to a blog that promotes masculinity. Here’s what resolution’s really are…
THEY ARE FUCKING FAKE GOALS THAT PEOPLE SET BECAUSE NO ONE STICKS TO IT LONG-TERM
Now that I got that out of the way, let’s get down to it shall we? People have no idea on how to actually set goals.
So let’s get down to business my friend. If you truly want to achieve goals, you cannot start then stop. Let’s get to the first truth bomb about New Year’s Resolutions.
New Year’s Resolutions Aren’t a Sprint
The first reason all New Year’s Resolutions fail is because you expect fast results. Instant gratification. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the instant gratification in today’s society makes me sick.
You complain you aren’t seeing results within the first two months of starting your fitness journey? I have news for you my friend, if you go through my weight loss journey through HIIT training, you will see that it took me years to see the results I wanted.
So even if you want to improve in your fitness journey or achieve any other goal you want to achieve, you gotta fail my friend. Success loves speed as I have said before, however, success requires failing.
Research Shows Celebrities Even Have New Year’s Resolutions
Check this out my friend, generally I don’t follow trends, however I do my research and here’s what I’ve found. There are celebrities that set New Year’s Resolution’s, you’ll see it here.
So if you think you’re a hard case, don’t feel so lonely. Everyone has goals to get their shit together. Everyone know’s where they can improve, heck I even know I’m not perfect, but I’m kinda like Mary Poppin’s XD
Jokes aside, understand that if you get frustrated, that’s normal. In fact, you’re about to grow. However, here is the next truth bomb about New Year’s Resolutions…
Stop Ego Lifting and Embrace The Suck
This is why I have a whole article on haters and why their life sucks. It’s because their ego stops them from growing. One failure like for example they hurt themselves for not lifting properly. Research how to perform exercises safely.
It would blow your fucking mind how much I’ve failed in my fitness journey to get lean and stay lean. But that honestly doesn’t matter. What matters is how you handle challenges in your fitness journey. Can you stay calm in the midst of pressure, for example an intense squat set?
Something I heard my mentor said that stands out, “Stand right in the middle of the shit and own the shit!” Thank you for your honest words Wes Watson. Here’s how I interpret his comment…
“You gotta embrace the suck when shit gets real and stop whining like a fucking pussy.”
Brother, if you encounter a challenge, you gotta go in to that willingly. Face your problems like a man. Don’t let your ego get in the way of growing. The way you man up is you go in to the storm like a man, for example, tackle legs like your life depends on it.
Don’t let your ego narrow your mindset down so much that you won’t change a thing about yourself because you think you’re better than everyone else. There comes a point where you don’t know everything. That’s why I still work with coaches.
Because they know what it takes. They know it takes a never-quit mentality. You may think, “Adam I thought you said follow your own lead?” Yeah I do say that.
But I don’t fucking mean you tune out everyone to the point where you think your hot shit because of your huge muscles and your big ego makes it so you constrict yourself down to not learning anything new. That’s what stops you from growing.
And honestly, an ego in the gym as I said already will get you hurt fast because you exaggerate your strength. I want you to be winner, but be a SMART WINNER. Lift smart, don’t lift dumb.
Don’t let your mindset be the reason you can’t learn. Be a student for life my friend because growth is inevitable.
Growth never stops my friend. I really want to say that again, growth never fucking stops. Life will make you grow if you can’t take losses like a true man.
Here’s how we can make New Year’s Resolutions matter. You actually take action and you don’t put any of your goals off. With that said, I am going to give you some items you can buy and save a lot of money.

Deep Tissue Massage Gun
BROTHER, let me have a heart to heart talk with you. If you overlook recovery, you are bound to get hurt. I know I have this crazy mentality to not fucking quit, I’ve made a damaging admission in this article on how overtraining got me hurt.
I wish I had a massage gun when I pulled a back muscle. I would have gotten better much faster and I wouldn’t have to wait to go back to working out.

Why is that? Because it’s like your an athlete on the field playing your favorite sport, all of the non action-takers are watching you and they get jealous because you are going places.
When you take action and other’s are not, it shines a light on what everyone else are not doing. By taking action consistently, you make your New Year’s Resolution’s count.

“Fuck resolutions. These are fake goals unless you are actually congruent with yourself and you hold true to your word. Because YOU are an action-taker in a world full of talkers.”
In case you didn’t know, working out is the true gateway drug to becoming more disciplined. And motivation doesn’t mean shit if you don’t follow it up with action.
