How To Make Avocado Brownies

Have you ever wondered if you can turn an unhealthy baked good dish in to healthy avocado brownies? In this article, I’m going to show you how to make avocado brownies.

I’ll be honest with you, even though I’m a personal trainer and I hate fast food places, I’ll admit this to you, I’ve always loved brownies since I was young.

And when I learned how to make avocado brownies, I said to myself, “FINALLY!”

LOL. When you’re a brownie fan boy and a healthy person, this recipe made me jump out of my seat like a fucking excited guy that I almost launched myself through a wall like the KOOL-AID guy.

Jokes aside, you will love this dish. So let’s jump right in to this recipe, here are some essentials you will need to make this.

BUY NOW Make Avocado Brownies

Unless you want the brownies to stick on your pan, I strongly encourage you to get parchment paper on top of nonstick cooking spray. You will need to do a double boiler, but I will get to that in a second.

More importantly, just have the special equipment on stand by as people overlook it. So here’s the list:

  • Parchment paper
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Double boiler

Now that I covered the special equipment, let’s get in to the good stuff.

Ingredients for Avocado Brownies

So here’s what you will need to make this delicious recipe, and believe me, it’s well worth it since the majority of store bought brownies are NOT this healthy and have GLUTEN in their brownies:

  • 1/2 cup of Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups of Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Tbsp of Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup of Mashed Avocado
  • 1/2 + 2 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • Two Eggs
  • 2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • Dash of Himalayan Salt

Make sure you get Bob’s Red Mill because the type of flour you use does make a difference in the end result.

Not to mention, we want to stay healthy, that means NO GLUTEN!

Melt Chocolate in Double Boiler

Make Avocado Brownies

This is the first step and it’s important that you have a heat proof bowl. I personally use a pan.

While this is the starting point to make avocado brownies, make sure you use coconut oil.

Because coconut oil keeps the chocolate smooth and stops it from getting grainy.

Wait a couple minutes, the water will start boiling and the chocolate will melt, use a spatula to mix it altogether.

Go ahead and try that chocolate if you want to when you make this, I know this will make you hungry 😉

Mix Dry Ingredients for Avocado Brownies

Make Avocado Brownies

This is the second step to making avocado brownies, you want to mix the dry ingredients.

In a large mixing bowl, measure out 1/2 cup of gluten free all-purpose flour.

Then add in 1/4 of a cup of cocoa powder.

Top it off with a dash of Himalayan salt or sea salt.

Mix the dry together, it should look like the picture above.

Also I want you to preheat your oven at 400 degrees and let it warm-up.

You’re doing great, lets keep going…

Wet Ingredients in a Blender for Avocado Brownies

Make Avocado Brownies

So here’s the next step my handsome friend, put 1/2 a cup of all-natural organic maple syrup in a blender.

Then crack two eggs, put them in the blender. Clean up any mess you make with the whites.

After that, put in 2 teaspoons of vanilla.

Now finally, it’s time for the one cup of avocado.

We are almost done my friend. Keep going!

Check out the following health benefits of avocado’s here.

You’ll see why it’s so damn important to have healthy fats in your food intake.

Avocado’s aid in weight loss my friend. That is if you don’t overdo it when you try this recipe.

Blend the wet ingredients. By now the chocolate is melted.

Add the chocolate in the blender as shown in the picture. Blend it one more time.

Mix The Brownie Batter Together

Mix The Brownie Batter Together

This is REALLY important my friend, really mix up the brownie batter. I’ve made this recipe several times.

And the trickiest part to this recipe is making sure the flour isn’t so damn noticeable.

Which means you gotta put some muscle in to mixing this up.

Stir it around, use a spatula, and then bring it to a glass pan with that parchment paper I hope you bought.

Spread the chocolate evenly throughout the pan, make it look nice and presentable.

Then afterwards, put the glass pan in the oven for 15 minutes.

Now you’re done, let it cool down when the timer is off.

Cut In To 12 Squares

This is a step that a lot of people don’t think to do, however, it’s important to cut the entire pan of avocado brownies in to 12 squares.

It will look well done and people will say, “Damn, I really want to try that.”

That means I encourage you not overlook this step, go the extra mile to make it look delicious.

Try a piece, you’ve earned it my dude.

So if you’re doing my conditioning workouts, I recommend eating this prior to doing the workout.

Because you will have energy to get through the workout, and not to mention, you get a boost in testosterone.

Healthy fats aid in increasing masculine energy and that is testosterone.

The more testosterone you have, the more drive and energy you’ll get to bust through a challenging workout.

With that said, Adam Skoda is off because I’ve been getting a shit ton of fitness consultation requests!

Feel comfortable to comment below if you’ve tried this dish and let me know how it turned out!
