6 Powerful Lessons I Learned Working with Jason Capital

When I first started working with Jason Capital, I thought I understood success. But after working on his agency — I realized I can learn, grown and take feedback. That’s what he remembered me for… “Adam takes feedback like a champ.” Yes, I remember hearing those words from him.

Jason’s frameworks shattered my old beliefs about business, communication, and discipline. He doesn’t just teach high-income skills — he reprograms how you think.

In this article, I’m breaking down the 6 biggest lessons I learned from Jason Capital — principles that have completely transformed my mindset and results.

Yes, he does teach high status signals, and yes, this is why I’m so confident in giving the status advice on my blog.

Lesson #1 — Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)

When I worked on Jason Capital’s Team, he’d constantly ask,

“What’s one thing you can improve today that makes tomorrow easier?”

That single question shifted everything for me. It forced me to stop seeking perfection and start seeking progress. This does apply to dating, perfectionism is literally a cockblock.

Whether it was writing better copy, refining my tone on sales calls, or just tightening my morning routine — the goal became stacking micro-wins.

Over time, those tiny upgrades built unstoppable momentum. And that’s what Kaizen is: consistent, deliberate, obsessive self-improvement.

I attribute this particular lesson to the sole reason I published my hardcover book, 77 Ways to Develop a Masculine Mindset.

Lesson #2 — Speed Is King

Jason has a saying that hits like a punch to the gut: “Money loves speed. Hesitation kills.”

When I first heard that, I realized how many opportunities I’d overthought right out of existence.Working with Jason forced me to eliminate hesitation from my DNA.

Speed doesn’t mean rushing — it means decisive execution. It’s about trusting your gut, acting fast, and adjusting mid-flight.

While others are debating, you’re already testing, improving, and stacking wins.

When I started applying this principle, everything shifted: content output, business growth, even the way I approached people. Speed created momentum. Momentum built confidence. Confidence attracted results.

And once you taste what fast action feels like — you’ll never go back to waiting for “perfect.”

Lesson #3 — Wooden’s Rule

Jason once told me,

“If it’s good enough for John Wooden, it’s good enough for us.”

For context — John Wooden was one of the most successful basketball coaches in history. His rule? “Be quick, but don’t hurry.”

That sounds simple, but it’s a killer mindset. It’s about controlled urgency. You move fast, but never sloppy. You stay focused, but never frantic. This is how to take courageous action brothers.

Don’t expect Jason to not call you out on his team, he absolutely did when he noticed inaction.

Jason lived by this. Every project, every launch, every sales training — there was speed, but also precision. He taught me that success isn’t about chaos; it’s about controlled pressure.

When you live by Wooden’s Rule, you become dangerous — because you’re fast and strategic. You strike before others even finish thinking.

Lesson #4 — Over-Delivery

I should mention I learned over-delivery at a young age, but Jason, he truly re-defines the word.

Jason hammered this principle into everyone around him: “Shock them with value.”

That’s the heart of over-delivery — you give so much that people can’t forget you even if they tried.

When I was part of his team, Jason didn’t just meet expectations — he detonated them. If he promised a 60-minute training, you’d get 90 minutes of elite, no-fluff execution. If a client paid for one bonus, they got three. That mindset turns customers into lifelong evangelists.

I started applying it myself — in my coaching, my content, even my DMs.When people feel you’ve given them more than they paid for, they instinctively trust you more. That’s how you build brand gravity — not through hype, but through unforgettable delivery.

Over-delivery isn’t about generosity. It’s about dominance through excellence.

This is hands down, the one powerful lesson I always implement in my coaching, especially anyone in my Alpha Body Blueprint exercise book.

The reason? Because most fitness influencers over-promise and under-deliver. I intend to always give more than what I ask for in return.

LEAD, LEAD, LEAD. This is what Jason would teach. Lead by example.

That’s what all well known trainers lack nowadays. They just take black market supplements… Yes, I know some of these trainers, but it doesn’t mean I partake in recreational use just because I’m not satisfied.

That’s the mistake many trainers make. And that is not what ‘Happily Dissatisfied’ means either. It means you’re happy but you kaizen and grow.

Lesson #5 — Charlie Munger’s Rule

Jason used to quote Charlie Munger — Warren Buffett’s right-hand man — like scripture: “Invert, always invert.”

At first, I didn’t get it. Then Jason broke it down: Stop asking how to succeed. Ask how to fail — and avoid it.

That shift blew my mind. Instead of obsessing over hacks, I started identifying what destroys results — procrastination, ego, emotional decisions — and cutting them out.

Munger’s rule is brutal simplicity: If you eliminate what doesn’t work, success takes care of itself.

Jason lived this way. Before any big launch or campaign, he’d ask,

“What could break this?”and then he’d fix that before moving forward.

It’s not negative thinking — it’s strategic immunity. Munger’s rule turns you into someone who wins by design, not by luck.

Lesson #6 — Diabetes Kills, Don’t Sugarcoat It

This is vintage Jason Capital — raw, direct, and absolutely unfiltered.

He’d say,

“Diabetes kills — and not just in your body. It kills in your business, your mindset, your relationships. Stop sugarcoating everything.”

What he meant was simple: Most people fail because they’re too soft with themselves. They sugarcoat their excuses, their lack of consistency, their missed opportunities.

Jason’s rule was: Tell yourself the brutal truth. If your content sucks, fix it. If your routine’s lazy, tighten it. If your standards dropped, raise them.

When I started applying that mindset, I stopped taking things personally and started taking ownership. And that’s where transformation happens — when you trade sugar for honesty.

This lesson isn’t comfortable… but neither is growth. And that’s exactly why it works.
